Gateway now offers a full suite of HIAC testing services designed to provide solutions for USP <788> and <789> compliance. We leverage state-of-the-art HIAC liquid particle counting technology with expert scientific analysis and clear, concise reporting to deliver the fast, accurate, reliable results that you have come to expect from the leader in particle analysis.
HIAC Particle Sizing Provides:
- Compliance with USP <788> and <789> standards
- Quantification of foreign particulate matter
Using the Single Particle Explorer Is raman.ID + Metal.ID system Gateway Analytical can determine the size, shape and chemical composition of hundreds of metallic, organic and inorganic particles ranging from as small as 2µm. This system uses a unique combination of imaging analysis and spectroscopy that allows the chemical characterization of hundreds of particles per hour. This allows Gateway Analytical to quickly and reliably identify all particle materials by their spectroscopic fingerprints.
Raman/LIBS analysis provides:
- Number,size: Feret’s diameter (longest dimension)
- Shape: Aspect ratio, angularity, rectangularity, elongation, area, perimeter, circularity, solidity, fibrosity, convexity, and height
- Particle color image: Collects and documents high resolution color images of particles
Chemical imaging creates a map of a sample’s unique chemical or biological information from each pixel in the image by simultaneously obtaining spectral and spatial data. Gateway Analytical provides this unique service to complement traditional analytical testing, offering a more complete characterization package. Commonly used for simultaneous particle identification and sizing, material distribution, sample visualization and coating measurement.
Chemical imaging techniques include:
Specialized Sample Preparation
Gateway Analytical experts are trained to handle a variety of sample types and can accommodate your specialized sample preparation needs, including:
- Vacuum filtration
- Sample cross sectioning
